by Anna Roberts

In today’s video games round-up, Microsoft release an advert for Xbox One starring Zachary Quinto, The Witcher series reaches a new sales milestone, and Grand Theft Auto Online players will have to wait a little longer for their stimulus package.

A new advert for Microsoft’s Xbox One had launched, named “Invitation.” It features Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto and Liverpool and England football player Steven Gerrard.

The short trailer shows various members of the public being invited to join these celebrities and various in-game characters to watch or play on the Xbox One. The Kinect’s voice commands are also featured in the ad.

CD Projekt Red has published an infographic to celebrate The Witcher franchise’s sixth birthday. The headline figure out of those disclosed is that a total of six million copies of the The Witcher and The Witcher 2 have been sold. You can view the whole infographic at CD Projekt Red’s official blog.

The highly-anticipated final installment in The Witcher trilogy is due to release on PC and next-generation consoles in 2015.

Rockstar has delayed the generous helpings of in-game cash it was due to give to Grand Theft Auto Online players. The payments of $500,000 in-game money, due to arrive in two installments, are intended as compensation for players because of the game’s server problems.

Rockstar is still not happy with the stability of the game and servers, with bugs that caused players to lose progress remaining unfixed. A title update which will fix more bugs is due to release next week. Players should then start receiving the cash.

The first downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto Vhas also been announced by Rockstar. The Beach Bum pack will contain new customisation options for your GTA Online character, along with beach-themed vehicles that will be usable in both online and story modes. The Beach Bum pack will release in early November.
