When Square-Enix made the surprise announcement in September of a re-release of the PlayStation 2 RPG Final Fantasy X, many were confused about what it was. Square has clarified for those concerned.
According to Andriasang, Shinji Hashimoto, a famed Square-Enix producer, confirmed that Final Fantasy X HD is to be considered more of a “remaster” than an outright remake. These comments came after many journalists wanted to know more about the game at the Taipaei Game Show.
Expect more along the lines of an HD uprgade such as the ICO Collection rather than a full remake of the game.
Fans of the Final Fantasy series have been clamoring for a full remake of beloved iterations in the series, VI and VII.
Details are scarce other than the Final Fantasy X remaster will be for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita.
Are you disappointed the game is not a full remake?
