Has your bank balance recovered from the Steam summer sale? Let’s hope so, because it’s time for the annual Steam Halloween sale to kick-off.
Valve’s digital distribution software is offering huge discounts on many scary, spooky and creepy games including The Walking Dead (40% discount), Left 4 Dead 2 (75% off), Limbo (also 75% off) and Orcs Must Die! 2 (50% off). Classic titles such as F.E.A.R. (75% price reduction) and Bioshock (75% off) are also part of the sale.
There’s over 80 games in this year’s Steam Halloween sale – almost every horror game you can think of – for a full list, head over to Steam’s Halloween sale page.
The discounts end at 10 a.m. Pacific time on November 1, so that leaves you only a few days to delve through the list of games and part with your hard earned cash.
Steam has been growing in size and scope recently, with the launch of Steam Greenlight, where Steam users vote on which games from smaller developers they’d like to see make it onto the ever-popular distribution platform. Greenlight has already ensured the Steam release of two batches of titles, at a time when Steam is also expanding into non-game software and hardware.
Will you be purchasing any of the games in the Halloween sale? Are there any that you’d recommend to other Hypable readers?
